un-petroleum jelly - vegan, hydrates and softens, protects and moisturizes

In the 1880’s Robert Cheeseborough while visiting an oil rig in Pennsylvania as a hopeful future oil tycoon, noted a stick gluey residue of oil extraction. Oil rig workers would rub onto their hands for minor cuts and scrapes… Vaseline was born.

Derived from the German word for water and the Greek word for oil Vaseline became a staple in the home. It was labeled as a must for any organized home bringing shine to the hair, lips and furniture alike. Feeling down or a bit of cold coming on - a teaspoon of Vaseline will help fight off the blues. Vaseline is a close cousin of Cosmoline - originally used in the early 1800’s on everything from a cows udder, abrasions, sprains and for preventing rust on the family rifle.

Many, many old recipes we have discovered have called for use of petrolatum however due to the possibility of carcinogens, we have avoided its use up until now. The recipe has been modernized, taking out the yucky oil by-products and adding in good for your skin products like vitamin E and rosehip oil. Although we don’t suggest eating it as it once was, we do suggest it for everything from scrapes, bumps, bruises, hair moisturizer, makeup remover, chapped lips, and cuticle moisturizer… or your cow's udder. .5 ounce tin

No yucky stuff! We are sulfate, palm oil, propylene glycol and petroleum byproducts free. This product does not contain a preservative. Please use within 6 months of opening.

So great. Should have ordered two! Definitely recommend

A fantastic alternative to petroleum! The only thing I’ve found that works like Vaseline!
